The ideals of human perspective, society, culture and social media’s increasing influence on our day-to-day dress code has always intrigued me. I question the fundamentals of fashion, much like I question rules in society, and in popular culture. My pieces often address social issues. My work layers colors from curated pallets that is intended to mimic life and tackle racial stereotypes with sauce, yet give a realistic narrative of the African American experience. I attain most of my inspiration inadvertently from social media, current events and cultural nuances. My work tests reality and questions expectations. Also focusing on merging concepts through found ideas, and various styles of fashion.
